Federal Network Systems Engineer
The Network Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering advanced technical leadership and infrastructure support for the Azure Core Networking team within Government Cloud environments. This role provides Tier 2 expertise, leading complex incident response, deep-dive troubleshooting, and operational excellence for mission-critical networking infrastructure across secure federal facilities. The position supports 24x7 operations and serves as a technical authority for services including PhysNet, FPN, ExpressRoute, VPN, and advanced network services.
Here's what you need:
- 1-2+ years of experience in network operations or technical support.
- High level knowledge of enterprise networking architectures, including advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, and secure VPN technologies, with the ability to design, evaluate, and troubleshoot complex network topologies.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking services, including ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and/or Virtual WAN, supporting large-scale, mission-critical government cloud environments.
- CompTIA Security+
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with federal government cloud environments
- Proven expertise in advanced network monitoring and diagnostics, including SPAN sessions, packet capture analysis, and root-cause investigation across hybrid and secure networks.
- Experience with network automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Linux), leveraging automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce recurring incidents.
- Prior experience in managed service provider (MSP) or cloud operations environment
- One or more of the following certifications:
- Azure AZ-700
- CCNA
- CCNP

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
