Cloud DevOps Engineer
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a seasoned Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and secure cloud-based systems to support mission-critical environments. This role focuses on building reliable, automated infrastructure and integrating security across the development lifecycle to support consistent, scalable operations.
What you’ll own:
- Build and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure
- Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
- Engineer CI/CD pipelines that enable fast, reliable deployments
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and system operations end-to-end
- Integrate security controls (IAM, encryption, network security) into pipelines and infrastructure
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve system performance and reliability
What you’ll build and deliver:
- Automated, repeatable, and secure deployment workflows
- Fully codified, version-controlled infrastructure
- High-availability systems with build-in monitoring and resilience
- CI/CD pipelines that reduce friction and accelerate delivery
- Secure environments aligned with mission and compliance requirements
Here's what you need:
- 3 years of experience in DevOps engineering or cloud platform engineering
- 1 year of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar) and CLI
- 3 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g.: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- 3 years of proficiency with Bash, Python, or other scripting and automation technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree
- DoD 8140 compliance (e.g. Security+, CISSP, CASP, etc)
- Ability to work on-site at Eglin Air Force Base or willingness to relocate
Bonus points if you have:
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty)
- Experience with RHEL or CentOS
- Experience with containerization orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with National Security systems and Air-Gapped Environments
Security Clearance:
- Active Top-Secret Clearance, preferred with SCI eligibility
- The position may require a polygraph examination
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
