Cloud Developer - Senior
The work:
The Senior Cloud Developer will serve as a technical architect and security gatekeeper for an AWS cloud hosting platform. You will ensure platform readiness to intake containerized applications and develop automated pipelines to build, deploy and monitor with “security-by-design” principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cloud infrastructure for applications and migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
- Analyze applications and provide recommendations for platform migration, deployment into a cloud environment, and optimization.
- Provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses for cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-premises services.
- Manage policies for cloud service usage, new technology requests, and ensure the establishment of a secure cloud environment.
- Ensure appropriate availability and uptime design for cloud services.
- Work independently to design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.
- Debug cloud stacks and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Platform governance by enforcing compliance frameworks following Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA).
- Maintain ATO compliance and remediation of security findings throughout the accreditation process for infrastructure, platform and application components.
Technical Expertise:
- Container orchestration and security practices in AWS EKS.
- Container security best practices for image scanning and vulnerability remediation – Aqua Security, Nessus and ACSA experience.
- Proficient in DevSecOps practices and automation tools – GitLab and GitLab Runners expertise and proven ability to secure pipelines.
- Implement least privileged access with Zero Trust best practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate platform services.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree and 8 years experience.
- Proven experience in cloud architecture and cloud service delivery models.
- Strong analytical skills to provide recommendations for cloud migration and deployment.
- Ability to manage cloud policies and ensure secure cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Onsite Requirement in Washington, DC.

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
