The work
The SAP MDG Lead is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the Master Data Governance framework for the S/4HANA program. - Design and implement complex Change Request (CR) workflows, ensuring that data stewardship processes are efficient and meet federal audit requirements
- Lead the strategies for initial data load, consolidation of duplicate records, and mass changes to master data using MDG integration services
- Act as the primary liaison between the Data workstream and functional squads (B2R, P2P, O2C) to ensure that master data requirements support end-to-end business processes
- Partner with the BTP and Middleware teams to manage the distribution of master data from the MDG hub to downstream SAP and non-SAP systems using SOA, ALE/IDoc, or OData
- Utilize SAP Information Steward or MDG Data Quality Management (DQM) to monitor data health, reporting on KPIs and driving remediation efforts where data falls below federal standards
Here’s what you need:
- 2+ years of experience with SAP MDG implementations, with deep expertise in MDG-F (Financials), MDG-S (Supplier), MDG-C (Customer), or MDG-M (Material

Nice to have:
- Expert knowledge of the SAP Activate methodology, specifically regarding data workstream deliverables during the Explore and Realize phases
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate data governance councils and advise senior leadership on data stewardship and ownership
- Familiarity with federal data standards and internal control frameworks ensuring that master data management supports Federal Audit Readiness (FIAR)
