Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Architect to lead our efforts in optimizing and enhancing the performance of our existing database architecture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in performance tuning, query optimization, and scalability improvements for PostgreSQL environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and optimize existing PostgreSQL database structures and queries
Design and implement scalable database solutions
Develop and maintain database security protocols
Create and manage backup and recovery procedures
Collaborate with development teams to improve database integration
Monitor database performance and implement proactive optimizations
Lead database migration and upgrade projects

Here's what you'll need:

Security + (Plus) certification
4 to 7+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
- PostgreSQL performance tuning, query optimization, and scalability improvements
- Database design principles, including normalization, denormalization, and partitioning strategies
- Designing and implementing scalable database solutions
- PostgreSQL security best practices and implementation of robust security protocols
- Creating and managing backup and recovery procedures for PostgreSQL environments
- PostgreSQL monitoring tools and implementing proactive performance optimizations
- Leading database migration and upgrade projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex database systems
Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working alongside development teams to improve database integration

Bonus points if you have:

2+ years of experience with Linux operating system

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
