Database Architect
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Architect to lead our efforts in optimizing and enhancing the performance of our existing database architecture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in performance tuning, query optimization, and scalability improvements for PostgreSQL environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize existing PostgreSQL database structures and queries
- Design and implement scalable database solutions
- Develop and maintain database security protocols
- Create and manage backup and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with development teams to improve database integration
- Monitor database performance and implement proactive optimizations
- Lead database migration and upgrade projects
Here's what you'll need:
- Security + (Plus) certification
- 4 to 7+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
- PostgreSQL performance tuning, query optimization, and scalability improvements
- Database design principles, including normalization, denormalization, and partitioning strategies
- Designing and implementing scalable database solutions
- PostgreSQL security best practices and implementation of robust security protocols
- Creating and managing backup and recovery procedures for PostgreSQL environments
- PostgreSQL monitoring tools and implementing proactive performance optimizations
- Leading database migration and upgrade projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex database systems
- Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working alongside development teams to improve database integration
Bonus points if you have:
- 2+ years of experience with Linux operating system

• Active Secret security clearance is required

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
