SAP Proposal to Reward (P2R) Fiori Consultant
The work:
The SAP Proposal to Reward (P2R) Fiori Consultant leads the analysis, design, and implementation of the SAP Fiori User Experience (UX) for the assigned end-to-end process area (e.g., B2R, P2P, O2C), ensuring that the interface is intuitive, responsive, and seamlessly integrated with backend business processes. This role governs the transition from traditional SAP GUI to a modern, role-based web environment, focusing on usability, performance optimization, and mobile readiness. The SAP Fiori Consultant is responsible for leading UX strategy, app configuration, and technical troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements to design a role-based Fiori architecture, ensuring that users have access to the right apps based on their specific federal job functions
- Perform hands-on configuration of the Fiori Launchpad, including the setup of Spaces and Pages, Catalogs, Groups, and Target Mappings
- Lead the end-to-end activation of standard Fiori apps using Rapid Activation scripts and the Task Manager, ensuring all OData services and SICF nodes are functioning correctly
- Collaborate with developers to extend standard Fiori apps using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and Fiori Elements, ensuring "Clean Core" principles are maintained
- Partner with the Security team to integrate Fiori authorizations with backend PFCG roles, ensuring that the "App-to-Action" security model is robust and audit-compliant
- Monitor and tune Fiori performance, including cache management, OData service optimization, and browser compatibility testing
- Serve as the UX liaison for functional workstreams (B2R, P2P, etc.), advising them on the best Fiori apps to meet their "Fit-to-Standard" requirements and demonstrating analytical apps/KPI tiles
- Lead the technical testing of the UX layer, resolving complex issues related to the Fiori Launchpad, Gateway errors, and UI5 library versioning
- Create UX guidelines and provide training to end-users and stakeholders to drive the adoption of modern features like Search, Notifications, and Copilot (AI)
Here’s what you need:
- 4+ years of experience in SAP Fiori/UI5, with a deep understanding of the S/4HANA Fiori architecture (embedded vs. standalone deployment)
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including the use of Launchpad Service and Work Zone
- Strong technical knowledge of OData Services (SEGW), SAP Gateway, and JavaScript/CSS for UI enhancements
- Proficiency in Fiori Elements and Screen Personas to deliver low-code/no-code UX improvements
Nice to have:
- Ability to use Chrome DevTools for debugging, manage Transports (CTS+), and configure Fiori Mobile/Web environments
- Familiarity with Section 508 Accessibility standards for federal software and ensuring Fiori apps are compliant for all users
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
