Scrum Master
The work:
The Scrum Master is a servant leader who helps teams self-organize, self-manage, and deliver by teaching and coaching effective Agile practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a servant leader to the Scrum Team by applying SAFe Core Values, SAFe Principles, SAFe practices, and ScrumXP rules.
- Support the team in improving quality, predictability, flow, and velocity; help maintain focus on Sprint Goals within the context of PI Objectives.
- Guide estimation practices, including establishing normalized story points.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Team Demos, Retrospectives, and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure alignment on priorities, scope, and deployment-related activities.
- Assist in preparation for ART events such as PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops; support estimation of Features and Capabilities.
- Communicate with management and external stakeholders; protect the team from uncontrolled work and remove impediments.
- Foster continuous improvement of team dynamics and performance.
Here is what you need:
- Intermediate technical proficiency with the technologies, tools, systems, or languages used by development/test teams.
- 2 or more years of experience as a Scrum Master using SAFe or similar Agile servant leadership methodologies.
- 2 or more years of experience facilitating communication and collaboration across clients and development teams in both in‑person and virtual environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred experience:
- SAFe Certified Scrum Master credential.
- Experience supporting or transforming software development programs, ideally in an open-source technical environment.
- Active Secret-level security clearance.
- Active TSA clearance.

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
