Senior Data Visualization Engineer
As a Senior Data Visualization Engineer you will lead the design, automation, and delivery of advanced visual analytics supporting system Test & Evaluation (T&E), performance assessment, and architectural decision-making for programs. This role translates complex technical data into actionable visual insights that drive mission readiness and continuous system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports to visualize system design activities, requirements validation, and performance assessments.
- Create clear, compelling visual representations of system constraints, software characteristics, and performance capabilities across diverse environments.
- Transform complex T&E datasets into actionable insights for engineering, architecture, and mission decision-makers.
- Automate visualization and reporting workflows across multiple data sources to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with system T&E engineers to translate technical information into intuitive visual narratives for architectural and operational analysis.
- Identify effective visualization techniques to highlight KPIs, anomalies, trends, and system behavior patterns.
- Develop and maintain documentation for visualization workflows, data sources, tool usage, and user guidance.
- Innovate visualization methods that enhance system insight, mission readiness, and test transparency across the enterprise.
- Ensure adherence to visualization standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines.
- Support visualization needs for direct support testing of non‑deadly weapons system components essential to R&D, production, and maintenance.
- Use enterprise tools such as Power Platform, Power BI, task order portals, ServiceNow, Jira, MS Project, Primavera, eMASS, Archer GRC, CMDB repositories, and predictive analytics engines.
- Use role-specific platforms including Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Python/R visualization libraries, CI/CD visualization automation, big data analytics tools (Spark, Hadoop, Databricks), cloud visualization services, and monitoring platforms (Grafana, SolarWinds, QRadar).
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Data Visualization Engineer or similar role supporting DoD, preferably at the CCMD level.
- Experience requirements based on education:
- 8 years with BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA or 5 years with PhD or 10 years with AS/AA or 12 years without a degree
- DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP‑III/IT‑III and CE/OS certification within six months of assignment.
- DoD 8140 alignment for WRC 421, Database Administrator (Intermediate).

- An active TS/SCI is required

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
