Cloud Platform Architect
Accenture Federal Services is looking for a Cloud Platform Architect to join our team in the Northern Virginia area, who will be responsible for the implementation, troubleshooting, and sustainment of cloud systems and environments across multiple classification levels. This role supports day‑to‑day cloud operations—including monitoring, maintenance, and problem resolution for client/server, storage, and network components. The architect collaborates with support teams on workload management, patching, Active Directory and identity services, onboarding workflows, and other operational requirements. The Cloud Platform Architect optimizes cloud resource utilization, conducts capacity analysis, supports capability implementation, and provides detailed analysis for escalated issues.
What you’ll do:
- Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud systems and environments
- Support daily cloud operations, including monitoring and issue resolution for servers, storage, network devices, and cloud workloads
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams on workload management, patching, identity services, and onboarding activities
- Optimize cloud system operations, enhance performance, and manage resource utilization
- Conduct capacity analysis and support cloud resource planning
- Provide detailed technical analysis and feedback for escalated tickets and system issues
- Support deployment of applications across multiple classification levels
- Participate in requirements-to-capabilities analysis, solution implementation, and integration of cloud capabilities
- Maintain documentation, change records, and operational standards for cloud environments
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, OR 2 years as a Cloud Systems Engineer or Systems Administrator may substitute for a degree
- 2 years of experience deploying and maintaining Kubernetes clusters (e.g., TKG, Konvoy)
- 2 years of experience with identity management tools such as Active Directory, KeyCloak, AWS IAM, Radiant Logic
- 2 years of experience deploying and maintaining containerized applications (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Mattermost, GitLab)
- 2 years of experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers)
- 2 years of experience in Windows Server and/or Linux administration
- 1 year of experience with PowerShell and/or Bash scripting
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance (Security+ or equivalent)
Bonus points if you have:
- AWS Associate‑level certifications
- Experience debugging (logs, stack traces, permission issues, etc.)
- Network troubleshooting (DNS, security groups, routing, firewalls)
- Experience with:
- Git version control
- DevOps tools (Ansible preferred, Chef, Puppet)
- Application deployment and security automation
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- General networking principles
- Experience supporting enterprise‑level or secure government cloud environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams and support complex cloud environments.
Clearance
- Must possess an active Secret‑level security clearance and be willing to take a polygraph if required by the client
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
