SAP Food Service Process Architect / Lead
The work
This resource will lead the S/4HANA Food Service end-to-end functional business process capability for the organization. The SAP Food Services Lead develops and implements an S/4HANA solution design that integrates Product Lifecyle Management for Recipes (PLM), Quality Management (QM), Materials Management (MM), Recipe Management (PLM-RD), and SAP Retail. They will work with key stakeholders to understand requirements, design business processes for the complete food service lifecycle—from demand planning and ingredient procurement to recipe management, batch-driven production, quality control, and warehousing—and provide S/4HANA technology solutions, ensuring end-to-end traceability and adherence to food safety standards. This resource leads the build and ongoing maintenance of the process capability. The SAP Food Service Process Lead is responsible for leading complex business and system analysis, design, and testing.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate functional team activities across Product Lifecyle Management for Recipes (PLM), Quality Management (QM), Materials Management (MM), Recipe Management (PLM-RD), and SAP Retail, including field service processes where applicable
- Provide guidance and direction to the functional team, ensuring alignment with the S/4HANA data models and organizational objectives for food safety, quality, and traceability
- Oversee the implementation of SAP Food Service solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements for batch traceability, allergen management, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and accurate product costing
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, specifically focusing on the transition from legacy systems to a unified S/4HANA landscape for process manufacturing
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, encouraging the use of SAP Fiori for production line monitoring, quality inspection recording, and real-time inventory dashboards
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks related to the migration of recipes, batch history, quality specifications, and vendor compliance data
- Ensure adherence to Accenture delivery methodology, promoting efficient and effective project delivery
- Facilitate communication between teams, ensuring critical integration points between Food Service operations and other streams like Order to Cash (O2C) for distribution and Record to Report (R2R) for inventory valuation and cost of goods sold
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting skill growth in areas like S/4HANA PP-PI, QM, Batch Management, SAP PLM for Recipe Development, and EWM
- Stay informed about SAP updates (such as SAP Global Batch Traceability (GBT), intelligent manufacturing scenarios, and SAP Analytics Cloud for production reporting) and industry best practices (e.g., HACCP, GMP) to drive continuous improvement
Here’s what you need:
- 7+ years of experience in SAP project management, demonstrating a deep understanding of SAP for process industries, including PLM, PP-PI, QM, Batch Management, and Recipe Management
- Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing multiple manufacturing and supply chain workstreams through complex go-live cycles in a regulated environment
Nice to have:
- In-depth knowledge of delivery methodologies and practices (e.g., Agile/Scrum)
- Proficiency in project planning, resource allocation, and risk management specifically to process manufacturing and food industry system transformations
- Ability to align SAP Food Service project goals with broader business objectives, such as improving batch yield, ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing traceability, or reducing waste
- Experience in mentoring and developing team members to enhance their functional configuration and business process knowledge in a regulated environment
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
Eligibility requirements:
- US Citizen (no dual citizenship)
- Must be eligible to obtain a government Secret Clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 25%

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
