The Work:
The M365 Migration Engineer on the Centralization Team will support the management, consolidation, and migration of Microsoft 365 (M365) tenants within a secure and dynamic federal environment. In this role, you will work closely with technical teams to plan and execute seamless tenant migrations, ensure effective administration, and uphold all security and compliance protocols. You will assist with assessment, preparation, testing, migration execution, troubleshooting, and documentation activities that ensure continuity, security, and optimal performance of M365 services across multiple tenants. Your expertise in Microsoft 365, systems engineering, and secure cloud operations will be critical in driving successful modernization and centralization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, management, and execution of M365 tenant migrations
- Perform pre‑migration assessments, environment readiness checks, and validation activities
- Configure and administer core M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Azure AD
- Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve migration‑related issues
- Ensure all migration activities adhere to federal security and compliance requirements
- Maintain documentation of migration plans, processes, system configurations, and post‑migration states
- Monitor service health, performance, and migration progress to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Assist in establishing best practices for M365 tenant management and centralization
Here's What You Need:
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and migration activities
- Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts and cloud‑based infrastructure
- Experience supporting or executing tenant‑to‑tenant migrations
- Familiarity with identity, authentication, and access management principles (e.g., Azure AD)
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional technical teams
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Bonus Points If:
- Experience working in federal or highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance tools
- Familiarity with migration tools and methodologies (e.g., MRS, third‑party migration platforms)
- Understanding of hybrid identity models and directory synchronization
- Exposure to automation or scripting (PowerShell preferred)
- Background supporting large‑scale enterprise environments

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
