The work
The Senior SAP Order Management Functional Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) solutions that enable end‑to‑end order management processes. This role provides expertise in the creation and maintenance of sales documents, deliveries, billing processes, pricing configurations, and order fulfillment. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and cross‑functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, support testing activities, and ensure successful delivery of SAP Order Management capabilities. This position also provides leadership to project teams, drives process improvements, and supports strategic business objectives through scalable SAP SD solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Configure and support SAP SD processes related to sales documents, deliveries, and billing
  • Analyze business requirements and design SAP Order Management solutions that meet business needs
  • Provide expertise in SD configuration, master data, and reporting capabilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for pricing, including Condition Tables, Condition Types, Access Sequences, Pricing Procedures, Chargebacks, and Rebates
  • Support Available to Promise (ATP) processes, including Back Order Processing, Production Allocation, and Order Scheduling
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure integration across SAP modules and business processes
  • Develop test strategies and manage large, complex testing efforts
  • Support solution deployment, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning activities
  • Manage a team, including mentoring and training junior team members

Here’s what you need:

  • 4+ years of SAP Order Management experience
  • Strong SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) experience
  • Experience with pricing configuration, ATP processes, and order fulfillment processes

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA implementations
  • Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation or modernization programs
  • Strong business process analysis and solution design skills

Eligibility requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
