Technical Project Manager

Position Overview: 

Are you energized by helping uncover solutions to real world problems? 🧐We're seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager who will have the opportunity to work on projects that cover a wide range of solutions including, but not limited to, infrastructure and middleware development, deployment automation, observability, cloud support and business process improvement. As part of the accesso® Professional Services Organization, you will contribute by helping our clients drive strategic initiatives, streamline operations, drive in revenue, and improve the guest experience. Our professional services solutions allow our clients to sell general admissions, reserved seats, time/date specific tickets, season passes, memberships, and so much more. 

As a member of our Professional Services Team, you will play a key role in the ideation, development and launch of our solutions. Your deep understanding of client needs, and out-of-the-box thinking will be vital in shaping our product vision and strategy. We are looking for team members who have a strong technical background, can quickly breakdown complex problems and deliver creative solutions to ensure product success🚀.

Location: This role can be performed 100% remotely anywhere in the UK, at our office in Twyford, or a hybrid version of in-office and remote.  

Reports to: Director, PMO and Process Management

Travel ✈️ Requirement: Up to 5%

 

What you’ll be working on: 

  • Follow a project management methodology to initiate, plan, execute, control and close out projects
  • Utilize effective communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interact with all levels within the company to prioritize multiple concurrent projects
  • Work on medium or large projects and cover a wide range of solutions including, but not limited to, infrastructure and middleware development, deployment automation, observability, cloud support and business process improvement
  • Effectively measure success through the development of metrics and reports as well as present the results to senior management

  • MS Office Suite, MS Teams, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, MS Project, VMWare, OpenShift, Veritas, IDPA, PPDM, OMEVV, CloudIQ, Kubernetes, Rancher, Argo, Kafka, Elastic Suite, Prometheus/Grafana, Tyk, various cloud solutions, SQL Databases, Linux and Windows OS, Active Directory, Redhat Identity Management, Gitlab, Ansible, Artifactory, NGINX, Rabbitmq, DHCP, DNS, all version of cloud environments.

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • Have at least 3 years’ hands-on experience in project management as it relates to infrastructure deployment in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment - Note: ‘years of experience’ may not always be the best measure for your ability to succeed in this role. If the below bullet points feel like you, please consider applying – even if you do not have, say, 3 years in project management.
  • Have extensive knowledge of the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) as well as project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
  • Are passionate about your work… because we are about our product.
  • Are skilled in the use of negotiation techniques to reach agreement when there are widely differing viewpoints.
  • Great leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Context swapping with great note taking is a must.
  • Have an ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team members.
  • Have an ability to maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature.

 

⭐️ Bonus points if you have: 

  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or in active pursuit, or have equivalent level of education and experience 
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in project management, computer science, MIS, or related discipline 
  • Knowledge of entertainment services industry
  • Agile and/or Scrum Certified
