Repair Manager (Aldinger)
We are seeking a Repair Service Manager to join our scale/repair team at Aldinger, an Accredited Labs company.
As the Repair Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our industrial scale and weighing team. This position manages a team of Repair Technicians and Assistant Service Managers and will report to the Branch Manager. In this position quality experience, customer focus and leadership capabilities are mandatory.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the team’s repair and calibration process, including prioritizing workflows, managing staff schedules, and optimizing operational efficiency.
- Supervise the technicians’ activities to ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols and standards.
- Ensure that technicians are thoroughly trained and consistently perform accurate calibrations and repairs in line with corporate quality requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales Personnel to drive profitable revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities, including pricing standards, cost justification (ROI), and training requirements.
- Develop and manage budgets, alongside continuous improvement plans to enhance the team’s performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, effectively communicating the value of our services, understanding client needs, and fostering long-term relationships.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction levels by delivering timely and effective solutions to inquiries and concerns.
- Ensure all customer and employee issues are promptly addressed and resolved through professional communication.
- Maintain a safe and positive work environment.
- Partner with corporate to manage recruitment, training, workload management, performance reviews, and conflict resolution for the team.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years in a middle supervisory or management experience, preferably in a similar business or Service-related industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities
- Strong knowledge of calibration policies, procedures, methodologies
- Competent in mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repair
- Excellent presentation, written, and personal communication skills
- Intermediate skills related to managing internal income statements
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with PC proficiency
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service and build customer relationships
- The ability to think creatively, take initiative, multitask and manage projects under pressure
- Must demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, honesty, integrity, and attention to detail
- Must identify best practices and bring innovation to the work environment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support the business.
Nice to Have:
- Professional experience in Indysoft
- Working knowledge of quality documents such as ANZI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO 17025, ISO 9000, ISO 16949
