Metrology Lab Manager (Aldinger)

 

We are looking to hire a talented Lab Manager for our Aldinger Branch in Dallas, Texas, an Accredited Labs company! The individual will coordinate and oversee the daily activities of the Metrology Lab (Shop Calibration).   

Measurables:  

• On-time delivery of services in the Metrology Lab. 

• Efficiency and profitability of the Lab. 

• Growth and retained business. 

• Feedback from customers, prospects, and peers. 

• Growth path training for all calibration technicians and assistant managers.   

 Activities and Responsibilities: 

• Hire and train new calibration technicians. 

• Supported by dedicated trainers and senior technicians. 

• Responsible for overall quality of lab work. 

• Understand and direct all lab administrative and technical processes. 

• Become a technical expert for all services offered in the metrology lab. 

• Assist in the workflow of the lab. 

• Communication with customers  

• Add additional services to existing customer base. 

• Participate in corrective action research. 

• Follow up on customer complaints. 

• Ensure the lab has the necessary calibration standards to perform jobs correctly.   

• Assist in sourcing new calibration standards, when needed. 

• Assist in assuring that all written procedures and processes are technically correct and appropriate for use. 

• Aid in the development of new procedures. 

• Assist in bi-annual A2LA audit. 

• Assist in coordinating continuous training for FCTs. 

• Assist Territory Managers in acquiring new business. 

• Technical sales 

  Position Requirements:  

• Five years’ experience (direct or in a related field) 

• Presentation, written and personal communication skills  

• A focus on high quality outcomes and business profit 

• Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills and PC proficiency 

• The ability to think creatively, take initiative, multitask and manage projects under pressure 

• An unwavering persistence, commitment, passion and enthusiasm for this work.
