Electrical Calibration Technician (Tescom)
We’re seeking a highly experienced technician who can support our expanding electrical calibration scope, particularly in high-accuracy electrical and RF measurements to join our Tescom team, an Accredited Labs company.
As the Electrical Calibration Technician, you will work independently to calibrate various equipment across differing fields and environments. We service a wide variety of Central Texas customers across many industries, which requires a broad cross-section of skills.
The ideal candidate has well-rounded calibration experience in electronic and physical/dimensional types of equipment as our well-equipped laboratory covers calibrations in many disciplines. These include a wide variety of electronic/electrical and RF microwave instruments; physical/dimensional instruments such as calipers, micrometers, torque instruments and transducers, pressure gauges, scales and analytical balances, thread/plug/pin gauges, pH meters, humidity instruments, airflow meters, and many others.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform calibration, adjustment, and troubleshooting of a wide range of electrical and electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Execute calibrations in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 requirements.
- Calibrate and maintain Fluke multifunction calibrators and high-precision digital multimeters (e.g., 8.5-digit DMMs).
- Perform RF and microwave calibrations, including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and frequency counters.
- Analyze and document measurement uncertainties and ensure appropriate Test Uncertainty Ratios (TUR).
- Develop and review calibration procedures and support accreditation scope expansions.
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical leadership.
- Maintain accurate calibration records within IndySoft and support internal/external audits.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7–10+ years of experience in electrical and RF calibration within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fluke multifunction calibrators (e.g., 55XX/57XX series).
- Proven capability in RF and microwave calibration.
- Proficiency in uncertainty analysis and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with calibration management software, preferably IndySoft.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to mentor others.
