About the role
The Enterprise Client Strategist plays a critical role in ensuring our merchant partners derive long-term value from Accrue. You’ll be responsible for managing enterprise relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and enabling product adoption through systems thinking, analytical insight, and creative marketing approaches. We’re looking for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, sees connections across product, data, and marketing, and can build frameworks that deliver scalable success.
What you'll do
- Onboard, support, and cultivate strong relationships with Accrue’s enterprise merchant partners, helping them realize tangible value from our platform
- Serve as a strategic partner and main point of contact for merchants, providing insight, recommendations, and performance reporting tailored to their goals
- Use systems thinking to design and implement strategies that enhance product adoption, drive merchant engagement, and support retention across portfolios
- Develop and pitch marketing ideas that help merchant partners strengthen customer loyalty, increase stored value usage, and maximize campaign impact
- Collaborate with merchant stakeholders to identify opportunities for co-branded initiatives and go-to-market strategies that align with business goals
- Work cross-functionally with sales, product, engineering, and design teams to identify opportunities, remove friction, and align on high-impact improvements
- Lead structured analyses to inform growth strategies, uncover customer needs, and guide operational and marketing enhancements
- Define and track project-level KPIs to ensure clarity and accountability across merchant initiatives
What we'd love to see
- Strong strategic and systems thinker who can navigate ambiguity and build repeatable, scalable processes
- Client facing experience building trusted partnerships with enterprise clients and stakeholders
- Proven ability to drive impact in cross-functional teams—especially product, marketing, and data-oriented teams
- A knack for ideating and shaping marketing initiatives that drive engagement
- Experience in roles such as Client Strategy, Strategic Operations, Product Strategy, or Account Management
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and structured thinking
- Self-starter with a high ownership mindset and ability to independently reprioritize based on company and client needs
- Meticulous attention to detail, with systems for tracking complex projects and ensuring follow-through
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfort in fast-moving, dynamic startup environments is a must
- Familiarity with tools like Google Suite, Hubspot, Figma, and Excel
Bonus
- Experience in a consulting or similarly structured analytical environment
- Exposure to lifecycle marketing or customer loyalty campaigns
- Passion for loyalty, fintech, or payments infrastructure
Salary
The estimated pay range for this role, based in New York City, is $115,000- 165,000.
The range listed is just some of the components of Accrue's total compensation package; This role will receive a competitive salary + benefits + equity. The salary range is for US-based employees located in the listed market. Other benefits include those listed above such as healthcare and 401k.
