Job Description
Accumulus is seeking an Assurance Analyst. This will be a key role within the Security Assurance team, reporting directly to the Director of Security Assurance, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Security Assurance Managers based on project efforts and initiative assignments.
The Assurance Analyst will support the Security Assurance team in maintaining and improving the organization’s compliance, audit readiness, and documentation practices. This role is hands-on in developing and maintaining compliance documentation, aligning with regulatory requirements, and supporting customer assurance initiatives. The analyst will work cross-functionally to contribute to governance and compliance activities, drive process standardization, and ensure control effectiveness is well-documented and audit-ready.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Security and corporate documentation, including policies, procedures, control narratives, and audit evidence.
- Assist in standardizing documentation formats and workflows to support audit readiness and regulatory alignment (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST, etc.).
- Collaborate with Security Assurance leadership and team members to track document status, identify gaps, and maintain documentation repositories.
- Coordinate responses to audit and customer security requests by gathering supporting materials and ensuring consistency in language and presentation.
- Contribute to cross-team initiatives that enhance documentation quality, version control, and overall trust transparency.
- Perform light research to support governance or compliance program updates and regulatory awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; or 2+ years of equivalent work experience in compliance, audit, or security assurance
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, SaaS), including participation in compliance initiatives tied to external requirements
- Proven ability to manage or support multiple cross-functional projects in fast-paced, lightly structured environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and compliance concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience creating and maintaining compliance documentation (e.g., policies, procedures, control narratives, audit memos), with a focus on clarity, consistency, and continuous improvement
- Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in taking ownership of work and contributing without formal task assignments
- Familiarity with SaaS, information security, compliance, or software quality concepts
- Experience with documentation and compliance tools (e.g., Confluence, Vanta) and version control workflows (preferred)
Salary range
$75,000 - $85,000 USD
