Windows Systems Administrator

AccuWeather is seeking a creative IT professional who enjoys contributing to complex technical projects. In addition to providing Tier 2 support for user devices and accounts, the right Windows System Administrator will be responsible for procurement, configuration, and monitoring of end-user hardware and software. Job Responsibilities

  • Manage desktop and helpdesk support efforts, including triage, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Conduct regular audits of Software Licenses and Hardware.
  • Maintain internal team documentation on SharePoint and local file shares.
  • Manage procurement of Windows PCs, laptops, and accessories.
  • Manage Active Directory, Microsoft O365, Slack, ScaleFusion and Windows OS and other administrative tasks
  • Manage the process of machine imaging, software installation, patching, and full lifecycle support for computing hardware and peripherals.
  • Work closely with other core team members regarding the updating of computer software, as well as upgrading hardware and systems.
  • Manage computer related inventory utilizing Microsoft SCCM/InTune.
  • Manage user accounts, storage, and mailboxes in accordance with established company standards and industry best practices.
  • Managing and servicing all AV-equipped conference and meeting rooms in SCE
  • Installation and configuration work for various devices in SCE including Zoom kits, digital signage, TVs etc.
  • Maintain the overall design of the AccuWeather A/V systems and ensure audio visual conferencing technologies meet business requirements and are marketed effectively.
  • Work closely with leadership regarding vendor maintenance agreements, software licenses, software deployment, and computer related supplies.
  • Manage AD, onboarding/offboarding of staff via activation and deactivation of some, not all, application and service access
  • Research and provide feedback on the purchase of new computer hardware and software.
  • Deploy mobile equipment to company groups. Including activation, issue and recovery and correct disposal of all mobile equipment.
  • Provide support for mobile devices, including phones, tablets, and hotspots.
  • Research and monitor technological advancements and trends in IT support.
  • Be available to respond to incidents when they occur outside of regular work hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • 4 or more years of experience working in a technology role.
  • A positive can-do attitude, enthusiasm for the role, and working with and helping others in a constructive manner as a team player.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with administration of Windows operating system.
  • Understanding of basic network functionality including IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, and wired/wireless connectivity.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, along with Zoom and Slack.
  • Experience with use and administration of SCCM and Office 365.
  • Familiarity with basic information security principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with deadlines.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a high level of integrity and handle confidential matters professionally with an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • Takes initiative to continually learn and enhance technical knowledge & skills.
  • Must be able to work onsite in State Collete, PA via local residency or reasonable commute.
