Position Description:
The Development Coordinator supports two key initiatives: Advancing the mission and visibility of the Cleft Palate Institute, a charitable program that supports individuals with cleft palates through education, increased access to specialized care, and community awareness-building. As well as strengthening LECOM Behavioral Health’s development and communications efforts across multiple program sites. This is a multi-faceted role, with time and responsibilities divided between the Cleft Palate Institute and LECOM Behavioral Health.
Responsibilities:
Cleft Palate Institute
- Establish and oversee the educational award and medical/clinical support funding process, including creating and refining application intake, review logistics, communication procedures, and record-keeping systems. Manage the process from start to finish, including facilitating approved requests for travel, lodging, eligible services, and educational scholarships.
- Lead outreach efforts to build awareness of the Institute’s role in helping individuals access specialized care, education, and related resources.
- Promote program stories, milestones, and impact across digital and print channels.
LECOM Behavioral Health
Donor Stewardship & Development Support
- Maintain and update donor records in DonorPerfect.
- Generate timely donor acknowledgments and prepare reports as needed.
- Support broad stewardship efforts through list segmentation, data cleanup, and administrative processes.
Events & Campaign Execution
- Coordinate all aspects of fundraising events, including:
- Trail of Treats (October)
- Winter/Spring event (in development)
- Breakthrough Awards (Spring)
- Future community engagement initiatives
- Build and maintain planning timelines, task lists, and logistics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth execution.
Digital Marketing & Ad Grant Oversight
- Build out and maintain Google Analytics for LECOM Behavioral Health sites.
- Develop and implement Google Ad Grant campaigns in alignment with priority initiatives.
- Track and report on ad performance; recommend optimizations.
- Compile and distribute a monthly marketing performance report, summarizing insights from Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media, and email campaigns.
Social Media & Creative Projects
- Take the lead on assigned campaigns—writing posts, scheduling content, and collaborating on visuals.
- Assist in the creation of flyers, digital ads, and email campaigns using Canva and Constant Contact.
- Gather content from events and programs, including collecting signed photo/video waivers and capturing brief stories from participants, staff, or partners for future communications.
Other Duties
- Maintain and update internal SharePoint pages.
- Research and track local funding opportunities.
- Support additional projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Background in healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit settings a plus
