What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team at The Patchen Oaks Apartments, a 192-unit community located in Lexington, Kentucky. As a Maintenance Technician 2 at Ackermann Group, you will deliver excellent customer service by performing unit make-readies and maintenance requirements including; assisting with snow removal, grounds upkeep, equipment upkeep and basic level service requests as needed. This is a training role
that will provide opportunities to further the employees’ level of proficiency within the maintenance trade. Additional responsibilites include:
- Physical activities related to exterior grounds maintenance.
- Janitorial duties helping to preserve and maintain any aspect of the apartment community and its facilities.
- Pool water management if applicable.
- Working alone or with other maintenance personnel to perform unit make-ready process as well as intermediate level repairs (i.e. Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Appliance Repair, HVAC & Painting).
- Participating in move-in/out inspection process.
- General property maintenance as identified by supervisor.
- Participating in snow event preparation and removal.
- Participating in community and equipment related preventative maintenance tasks.
- Participating in inventory management of maintenance line items as needed.
- Taking responsibility for other work-related tasks as assigned by Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
The ideal Maintenance Technician 2 will have:
- Availability to work full-time: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with emergency on-call rotation as designated by the Community Manager
- 1 or more years of related experience that demonstrates a broad knowledge of general maintenance
- HVAC certification, EPA Type I & II certification and/or CPO certification is a plus!
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- A valid driver’s license with proof of insurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
