
District Project Manager
The District Project manager is responsible for managing the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, projects, activities and operations of an assigned ACOG component (District) and its sub-components (Sections, committees, task forces, etc.) Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in project and event development. Maintain ACOG governance requirements and policies. Develop and support volunteer leaders in achieving key organizational priorities. Develop data analytics to evaluate and improve project activities. Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Make independent judgments to assess, interpret, and respond to the needs of District and Section officers and the larger ACOG membership.
Note: This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to ACOG's office located in Washington, D.C.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serves as a first point of contact and resource for District and Section officers. Develop and maintain productive partnerships with assigned district, vendors, and team members across ACOG. Assist Section officers as needed in their respective time zones.
- Lead, plan, implement, and evaluate projects in conjunction with the District leadership. Share relevant data for project assessments and improvement.
- Interact collaboratively on project planning with a variety of departments within ACOG including but not limited to meetings, membership, finance, marketing and communication, board affairs, public affairs,
- Oversee all aspects of Fellow and Junior Fellow District Advisory Council Meetings (DAC), and Early Career Fellow and Medical Student meetings including but not limited to meeting logistics, securing speakers, selecting locations, manage logistical coordination of attendees, timelines, deliverables, stakeholder engagement, preparing meeting materials, and disseminating minutes.
- Implement and support opportunities to align district operations with National ACOG strategic priorities
- Partner with other District Managers on Annual District Meetings (ADMs) to lead conference planning and run the event on-site.
- Lead management and training of Section staff
- Work with the marketing team to lead and coordinate communications
- Create Annual District Meeting marketing plan, manage planning committee, lead monthly conference calls, work with Junior Fellows to develop resident and medical student programming, create content for email blasts, programs, website, and social media.
- Travel to and attend all Annual and Interim District meetings, District events at the Annual Clinical & Scientific Meeting (ACSM), and other meetings/events as requested by District.
- Assist the District Chair and Junior Fellow District Chair with reports and provide advance notification of pertinent national ACOG meetings such as the Council of District Chairs.
- Organize and facilitate virtual and in-person District Committee meetings
- Provide recommendations for District and Section Policies and Procedures updates and changes
- Assist with developing strategies and plans to improve outcomes and align district operations with ACOG strategic priorities, policies and procedures.
- Work with District leadership to curate public health data in support of strategic priorities and goal setting.
- Develop relationships with appropriate organizations to aid in accomplishing District and Section goals.
- Provide regular updates and report outs from ACOG headquarters to District and Section Officers.
- Share strategies and best practices across the District and Sections.
- Create and maintain District and Section processes using Airtable for all major projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (including MS Copilot), AirTable project management software and experience with Association Management Systems
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- This position requires occasional travel to attend meetings and events.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours to accommodate meetings and events
- Must be able to conduct work across the various time zones of assigned District.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 5 - 10 years of experience.
- Minimum 5 years of related Project management or component/volunteer management experience in the health sector required, preferably with a medical association.
- Certified Association Executive (CAE) and/or Certified Project Manager (CMP) preferred
Salary Range
$75,000 - $85,000 USD
