Financial Analyst (Tech)
Duties and Responsibilities
Cost Analysis and Reporting:
● Analyze and assess technology-related financial data, including IT infrastructure costs, software
licensing expenses, cloud service subscriptions, and vendor contracts.
● Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into technology spending patterns
and trends.
Identifying Cost Optimization Opportunities:
● Identify areas where cost optimization can be achieved without compromising the quality and
effectiveness of technology solutions.
● Evaluate existing technology processes and tools to identify inefficiencies and propose
improvements.
● Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement cost reduction initiatives, such as optimizing cloud resource utilization, consolidating software licenses, or streamlining IT processes.
Vendor and Contract Management:
● Thoroughly review and analyze all contractual agreements with technology vendors and service providers including software licensing subscription and partnerships.
● Identify and understand the financial implications and obligations within contracts.
Budget Planning and Forecasting:
● Contribute to the development of technology budgets by providing insights into historical spending patterns and projected costs.
● Work with IT leadership to develop accurate forecasts and scenarios for technology expenses.
● Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to cost optimization in the technology domain.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
● Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost optimization, preferably within a technology-focused environment.
● Understand terms and contracts with all technology vendors, service providers and software subscription.
● Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
● Strong communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders.
● Proficiency in financial modeling and spreadsheet software.
● Project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
● Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
● Awareness of technology infrastructure or cloud services is a plus.
● Fluent in Thai with a good command of English
