Senior Specialist - Finance & Accounting

The Senior Revenue Accountant will assist the Finance Manager to consolidate and collect the relevant data related to our revenues and costs in order to prepare reports which could be daily, weekly or monthly and also can answer stakeholders (internal and external) in any related points of the reports. Therefore, the position is needed to support the company to consolidate, collect, identify and calculate to generate reports for our clients. End to end Revenue Process and deal with credit collections.

Primary Role Responsibilities

  • To work with in the team and across functions to further tailor reporting requirements related to calculating service revenues and provide consolidating reports to support Accounting team in order to charge fees to clients
  • To perform reconciliation between multiple systems & multiple platforms to ensure monthly invoicing & revenue recognition is accurate
  • Maintain monthly account reconciliations (Deferred Revenue and Unbilled Receivables) and General Ledger (GL) activities.
  • To calculate service revenues on a monthly basis and communicate on all billing issues with related parties (internal and external)
  • To validate and verify data before generating reports and reconcile them before submitting to all parties to ensure accuracy and completeness of reports
  • Coordinate across functions on any points related to revenue/cost reports to derive for proactive solutions
  • To make sure to maintain client database rate card correctly, including to update any changes to reflect to billing calculations
  • Ensure all JV posted, ensure Balance Sheet items are reviewed and necessary adjustments are recorded monthly before Management review with stakeholders
  • To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by The Management from time to time

 Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university in a business-related field (Finance or Accounting preferred) plus a minimum of 3 years related experience,
  • Extensive experience in revenue recognition for ecommerce, marketplace, SAAS and others related businesses,
  • Familiar with Malaysian and Singapore accounting standards and requirements ie. GST, SST, IRAS, Hasil
  • Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired such as NetSuite
