Technical Development Lead

About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Development Lead to turn business problems into practical software solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with the Product Manager to own technical direction, engineering delivery, and team development.

Tech Stack & Platforms:

• Platforms: Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, and System Integration Projects.

• Technologies: PHP, Node.js, Python, React, MySQL, and GraphQL/REST APIs.

• Deep expertise in every tool is not expected, but you must be able to review code, make sound architectural decisions, and pick up new patterns quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape Solutions: Partner with Product and business leadership to clarify problems, explain trade-offs, define scope, and recommend practical technical paths.

• Own Solution Design: Lead system architecture, ensure security and performance, manage technical debt, and stay close to implementation through code reviews and prototyping.

• Lead Delivery: Break down solutions into deliverable increments, improve CI/CD and automated testing, and own production readiness and incident resolution.

• Develop the Team: Coach engineers through regular feedback, handle hiring and performance management, and build a collaborative, blame-free culture.

Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading engineers.

• Strong hands-on experience with backend services, APIs, databases, and integrations.

• Proven solution design skills with the ability to compare alternatives and choose the appropriate level of complexity.

• Experience with cloud environments, automated testing, CI/CD, and production monitoring.

• Clear English communication skills to make complex technical topics understandable to both engineers and business stakeholders.

Useful Additional Experience:

• Experience with ecommerce, order management, inventory, fulfillment, or payments.

• Familiarity with Python-based services, distributed systems, or working across regional teams.

• Experience using prototypes, product data, automation, or AI-assisted development capabilities to validate ideas.
