About the Role
As a People & Culture Coordinator, you will be the friendly first point of contact for all things HR. From onboarding to offboarding, compliance to employee support, you will play a key role in ensuring employees feel valued, informed, and supported throughout their journey with Acorn Health.
This is the perfect role for someone detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for creating positive employee experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Be the face of HR by answering employee questions and providing excellent customer support.
- Administer HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, workers’ compensation, leave requests, and accommodations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and employment laws.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices.
- Take initiative in troubleshooting and resolving HR-related issues.
- Partner with leadership to continuously strengthen HR programs.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the People & Culture Team.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of HR administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in virtual settings (email, video, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365; experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
