The Mission

Security and performance are the twin pillars of the Acquia Cloud Platform. We are seeking a Product Manager to serve as a functional driver for the native integration of our global Edge services and security suite.

In this role, you will be a key partner to our strategic leads and engineering teams, focusing on the operational success of a frictionless security experience. You will work in lockstep with our senior architects to translate complex edge-native security capabilities into the fabric of our Unified AI-Native Cloud Platform. Your goal is to move beyond traditional bolt-on security models by streamlining advanced protections—ensuring that world-class security and content delivery are a seamless, automated part of the Acquia experience.

The Profile

  • The Integration Partner: You have a passion for making complex systems feel simple. You understand how to take sophisticated, high-scale security capabilities and translate them into clean requirements that make the engineering implementation seamless.
  • The "Shield" Momentum-Builder: You are obsessed with tactical progress. You manage the lifecycle of our Edge services, ensuring that Acquia remains the benchmark for global performance while removing the operational burden from both our customers and our internal teams.
  • The Context Architect: You thrive in an Agentic PDLC environment. You provide the high-fidelity "context slices"—threat profiles and security standards—that allow our autonomous development tools to handle routine configuration, rule-tuning, and monitoring.
  • The Scalable Peer: You view AI as a teammate that multiplies your impact. You proactively share your security context within the team, ensuring that every migration and value-model is built on a foundation of "Secure-by-Design" logic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Functional Edge Support: Support the roadmap for our Edge suite by defining the functional requirements that ensure security and performance are treated as foundational platform features.
  • Simplify Security Complexity: Define the workflows that allow our platform to handle the operational friction of security—from automated WAF tuning to proactive DDoS mitigation—reducing manual effort for customers and engineers alike.
  • Lifecycle Value Alignment: Partner with the broader team to ensure our Edge and Security features support customer growth. You will guide customers toward adopting the modern, AI-native protections that drive superior, high-availability user experiences.
  • Agentic Collaboration: Act as a "Context Contributor" within the team. Collaborate with peer PMs to build a shared library of technical context, allowing the team to use autonomous agents to scale security documentation and compliance tracking.
  • Operational Execution: Translate high-level strategy into a prioritized functional backlog, ensuring that our security offerings are executed with precision, speed, and reliability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, specifically within Edge Services, CDN, Cybersecurity, or API-first Platforms.
  • Experience with Deep Integrations: A proven track record of taking complex backend capabilities and building a clean, native user experience on top of them.
  • Agentic Workflow Propensity: Experience (or a strong desire to lead) in evolving, AI-enhanced development cycles. You are comfortable using context-driven workflows to eliminate manual operational toil.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfortable discussing WAF rules, DDoS protection, DNS, and SSL/TLS with senior engineers and architects.
  • Location: Based in Canada, Costa Rica, or India. Must be able to maintain effective collaboration with North American strategic leadership across global time zones.

We are an organization that embraces innovation and the potential of AI to enhance our processes and improve our work. We are always looking for individuals who are open to learning new technologies and collaborating with AI tools to achieve our goals.

Acquia is proud to provide best-in-class benefits to help our employees and their families maintain a healthy body and mind. Core Benefits include: competitive healthcare coverage, wellness programs, take it when you need it time off, parental leave, recognition programs, and much more!

Final compensation will be commensurate with your experience and will be determined by a variety of factors, including city of residence, relevant skillset, and job-related knowledge.

Acquia is an equal opportunity (EEO) employer. Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veterans status or any other protected status or characteristic under federal, state or local law unrelated to the ability to perform the job.

We are seeking an AI-Native candidate who treats AI not as an external tool, but as a fundamental extension of their cognitive workflow. The ideal candidate possesses an orchestration mindset—the ability to skillfully prompt, manage, and direct AI to navigate complexity—and maintains a high degree of AI fluency.

You should be characterized by radical adaptability and a "builder" mentality, showing a restless drive to transform traditional work processes into agentic workflows. Beyond technical proficiency, we value intellectual humility: the willingness to constantly unlearn old methods in favor of more efficient, AI-augmented processes. You don't just use AI to do your job; you use it to redefine what your job can achieve.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunities to qualified people with disabilities. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
