ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the VP of Platform & Solutions Marketing, the Director of Product Marketing for Platform & Drupal owns solution GTM for Acquia's platform and Drupal offering end to end. This is the technical-buyer practice: PaaS plus Drupal, sold to CTOs, CIOs, and CISOs who care about control, performance, security, and total cost of ownership. You own positioning, messaging, sales plays, and launches, you manage a Product Marketing Manager, and you partner with our Drupal Technical Product Marketer. You must have real Drupal experience; this audience spots a non-practitioner immediately.

This is a leadership seat for someone who drives programs to completion. We use AI to do the job better, and everyone on this team demos and presents on stage. This role is a balance of strategy and fast paced execution where you will be expected to make decisions based on data and drive forward a plan based on data and evaluation of the market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the solution GTM for our platform and Drupal offering end to end: the positioning, messaging, narrative, and sales plays. You set the strategy based on data and customer insight, not gut.
  • Own the content that carries the story to the Drupal community, technical buyers, and the field: the proof-driven narrative and the web, sales, and campaign assets behind it.
  • Own our competitive GTM for the solution: the positioning and plays that win competitive and displacement deals and drive cross-sell across the portfolio. (Competitive & Market Intelligence owns the intel; you own the go-to-market.)
  • Drive product launches end to end. Own the launch calendar and the cross-functional program: lead the room, set the cadence, make the calls, and keep Product, Sales, Enablement, and Demand Gen aligned and shipping on time.
  • Build the technical-buyer narrative for CTO / CIO / CISO, and the TCO tools the field uses to win and defend deals.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement on a value-selling spine (Signal > Value > Action): they author the artifacts, you set the language and prove adoption in real deals.
  • Manage and grow the Product Marketing Manager, and partner with the Drupal Evangelist to deliver one comprehensive GTM

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years in product marketing, with at least 2 years leading or managing.
  • Demonstrated Drupal experience (required). You have built on it, marketed it, or worked deeply alongside the community.
  • Exceptional program management and leadership. You run complex, cross-functional programs end to end. You lead the room, make decisions without waiting for consensus, and get things moving. People align to your cadence and things ship.
  • Competitive positioning and displacement wins in technical B2B (CMS, DXP, or infrastructure).
  • A strategist, not a content marketer. You drive strategy and think critically about the moments of impact.
  • AI-first ways of working. You use AI to move faster and automate low-value work, and you expect your team to do the same.
  • Presentation and demo skills. Everyone here presents and demos on stage; you are compelling live, in front of technical buyers, analysts, and the field.
  • Value selling fluency with a number to prove adoption, and fluency with a technical buyer (performance, security, TCO).
  • Analyst relations experience.
  • Excellent writing for both practitioners and executives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience at a DXP, CMS, PaaS, or open-source software company.
  • Active standing in the Drupal community (contribution, events, speaking).

We are an organization that embraces innovation and the potential of AI to enhance our processes and improve our work. We are always looking for individuals who are open to learning new technologies and collaborating with AI tools to achieve our goals.

Acquia is proud to provide best-in-class benefits to help our employees and their families maintain a healthy body and mind. Core Benefits include: competitive healthcare coverage, wellness programs, take it when you need it time off, parental leave, recognition programs, and much more!

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunities to qualified people with disabilities. To measure this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
