Plumbing/Drain Cleaning Technician – Exp. Pref. but Willing to Train

Action Plumbing is a rapidly growing commercial plumbing service company located in Marlton, NJ. We have been in the plumbing industry since 1965 and offer stable employment. All positions are due to growth, and we are looking for a few strong candidates. Action Plumbing offers a great work environment, along with numerous perks.

We are hiring for a Hydro Jetter Technician in the South Jersey area. Experience preferred, but willing to train! If you ever had an interest in the plumbing trades, this just may be the perfect opportunity for you! The preferred candidate must be reliable, have great communication skills and be mechanically inclined. 

Schedule:

  • Standard Hours M-F, dispatched for service between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. 
  • Rotating on-call schedule for some weekends and weeknights.

WHAT ACTION PLUMBING NEEDS FROM YOU:

  1. Operating Hydro Jetter, pumper & drain cleaning equipment to clear sewer & drain lines.
  2. Maintain truck & equipment, keeping them in good working condition.
  3. Assist plumbing technicians in the field, as needed.
  4. Performing scheduled, after-hours jobs during premium shift rate hours.
  5. On call required (1) night a week & (1) rotating weekend per month.
  6. Must reside within 30 minutes of Marlton, NJ. As our service area is predominantly: NJ, PA, DE.
  7. Must be able to comply with DOT and company drug and alcohol policies in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations.
  8. Must meet minimum age requirements under company insurance guidelines to operate a service vehicle. 
  9. Current CDL License is a plus, but not a pre-hiring requirement.
  10. A post-offer background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.

  1. Experience in drain cleaning or plumbing preferred, but willing to train candidates without plumbing experience.
  2. Mechanically inclined, motivated, and quick to learn.
  3. Hard-working individual with good communication skills.
  4. Willing to learn and grow in the plumbing trade.

Action Plumbing determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Hydro-Jetter Trainees: Base pay ranges up to $20-30/hour, and is determined by knowledge, skills, and past experience. Experienced Hydro-Jetter Techs: Rates are negotiable, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and years of service.
