4 on – 4 off 12 hour shifts, (0700 – 1900)

The Senior Operator will assist with real time operations, coordinate/participate in planned outages & testing, and provide technical support for on shift operators
Responsibilities
- Assist with Real time operations and answer phones as necessary for TX and DG sites.
- Provides technical expertise, leadership, and project coordination services to support maximizing uptime and minimizing response time.
- Answer technical questions of ARCC operations personnel regarding work-related tasks
- Schedule, coordinate and participate in upcoming planned outages and testing.
- Complete Transmission Site Audits, time permitting.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Superior understanding of relevant computer software systems and electrical diagrams, to include SCADAs, DAS platforms, Relay functional diagrams and SLD’s.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Self-starter able to work independently without continuous oversight.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, Sustainability, or related field, or an additional 2+ years of industry related experience in lieu of degree.
- At least 1 year of related experience required in addition to degree (3+ years without degree).
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to report to the office on a nontraditional schedule, to include weekends, holidays, and late hours.
