Our Role
As Ada’s Senior Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager and lead the execution of Ada’s full-cycle month-end accounting in addition to assisting with day-to-day financial operations. You will have the opportunity to support Ada on its mission to automate the world’s customer service. You will work closely with Finance and Operations to ensure all work is done accurately and in a timely manner, while creating a robust internal controls framework with detailed documentation.
About You
- You have 2 - 4 years of experience in a full-cycle month-end accounting role, preferably in a tech or B2B SaaS environment.
- You have completed your CPA designation.
- You have experience with NetSuite and its Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) module.
- You have experience with IFRS.
- You have experience reporting with multiple currencies and complex consolidations.
- You have exceptional attention to detail and strong Excel skills.
- You love figuring out the numbers and drawing insights from what you uncover.
- You are looking to be in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn and grow.
Outcomes
- Execute the full cycle month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations in addition to the ownership of capitalized commissions, accruals, prepaids, leases, fixed assets and cash.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of revenue by processing contracts and contract amendments into NetSuite on a timely basis.
- Preparation of revenue recognition entries and related monthly reports and reconciliations, including variance analyses of subscription revenue.
- Preparation and analysis of month over month variances in the balance sheet and income statement.
- Assist with finance operations tasks, including issuing customer invoices, customer collections and processing customer billing requests.
- Assist with the annual audit of the consolidated financial statements.
- Create and update process documentation where necessary.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the month-end close cycle.

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 to $107,000 CAD. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors such as past experience and qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
