About You

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Analytics team. Reporting to the Manager, Data Analytics, your responsibilities will be related to the design, build, and maintenance of the infrastructure that enables data analysis and business intelligence. The primary focus for this role is to provide clean, transformed data, to maintain data documentation and definitions, and to contribute to the semantic layer that enables AI assisted analytics. This role will also stretch into analytics, by working closely with internal stakeholders in both product and GTM. 

    • Minimum 4 years of experience in data analytics/data science, data engineering, analytics engineering or similar fields
    • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern cloud data-warehousing technologies, including hands on query-plan analysis and index design. DBT and Clickhouse experience a plus
    • Knowledge of working with development best practices (Github and CI/CD)
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
    • Effective written and verbal communication and strong attention to detail
    • Experience building in BI platforms (Tableau, Looker, Metabase, Omni etc…)
    • Previous work experience for a SaaS company is considered an asset
    • Adept at leveraging AI to enhance productivity

Outcomes

  • Develop and implement data models that reflect business processes and requirements, enabling effecting data analysis and reporting
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, automating data validation and cleaning to maintain high data integrity 
  • Design, build, and maintain a strong semantic layer with high quality documentation
  • Work closely with product teams to ensure high quality end-user data
  • Support product and GTM teams with thoughtful analysis and high quality dashboards

The expected salary range for this position is $106,400 CAD to $ 137,000 CAD.  Actual pay will be determined based on several factors such as past experience and qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
