Finish Carpenters can expect to travel up to 75% of the year, requiring on-site work at various locations year-round.

As a Finish Carpenter, you will be essential to furthering our mission by ensuring the safety, security, and functionality of our clients' door systems through meticulous installation and maintenance practices.

This role will: 

  • Ensure proper functioning of low voltage equipment or systems.
  • Carry and stage materials at clients' locations.
  • Guide, coordinate, and oversee fellow installers when applicable.
  • Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order.
  • Educate customers on the features and functionality of installed products.
  • Assist with parts, shipping, receiving, and inventory as needed.
  • Aid in the removal and installation of materials on projects.
  • Install, repair, change, and service locks and security systems of all types.
  • Service and repair "panic" hardware on security doors.
  • Install and fix door hardware systems, including exit, entry, and fire door sets.
  • Replace or service worn components of door security systems, such as locks, tumblers, springs, and other critical parts.

  • Capability of lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant computer software applicable to security, including networking and hacking skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math problems.
  • Safe and efficient use of necessary tools.
  • Provide practical advice and make sound decisions when needed.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow maintenance procedures for various door locksets.
  • Proficiency in utilizing building security lock systems and their procedures.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively relay information.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot door lock-related issues.
  • Ability to coach individuals on the use and maintenance of door locks.
  • Excellent customer service skills to serve clients professionally.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and establish a good reputation in the field.
  • Basic knowledge of wall framing (steel stud, wood stud) and structural expertise.
  • Basic finishing skills such as drywall installation, patching, taping, and painting with attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the year.
  • Clean driving and criminal record.
  • Must be a legal citizen of the United States.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet pre-employment requirements.
  • Ability to pass background checks for military base access

Salary Range

$28 - $35 USD
