Job Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will play a key part in the monthly close process, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting, while also supporting audit readiness and day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries within established deadlines.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations monthly, researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, and monthly depreciation, ensuring the sub-ledger ties to the general ledger.
  • Manage accounts payable functions including coding, approvals, and vendor payment run.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
  • Identify and help implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field) required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close procedures, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prior experience with fixed asset accounting and accounts payable preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $65,000–$70,000 per year, commensurate with experience
