This role owns the operational integrity of positions, transactions, and reconciliations across custodial, aggregator, and trading data feeds, and acts as the senior escalation point for complex data and reconciliation issues. Reporting into Data Operations leadership, this person will manage a team made up of a Lead and Analysts, partner closely with Product and Engineering to evolve IBOR tooling, and represent Data Operations to senior stakeholders across the business.

Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is based on the first day of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What You'll Do

  • Own the operational integrity of Addepar's IBOR — positions, transactions, corporate actions, tax lot accuracy, trade static data, trade enrichment, and market claims — across custodial, aggregator, and trading data feeds
  • Lead and develop a team comprising a Data Operations Lead and Analysts, setting priorities, quality standards, and performance expectations
  • Establish and maintain process controls and metrics that track reconciliation break resolution, data quality, and SLA performance across the IBOR function
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex trade lifecycle, corporate actions, reconciliation, and trade fail issues that affect IBOR accuracy, partnering with clients and custodial/data providers to drive resolution
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to define requirements and prioritize tooling that improves IBOR data quality, automates reconciliation, and scales operations
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives with other Operations, Product, and Engineering leaders on data strategy and new platform capabilities
  • Own hiring, onboarding, mentorship, and career development for the Lead and analysts within the team

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • 9+ years of experience in investment/portfolio operations, middle office, custody, or trading operations, with direct exposure to IBOR, OMS/EMS, or custody data feeds
  • Background in asset management or the sell side of custody/fund administration, with solid grounding in capital markets fundamentals
  • Strong working knowledge of corporate actions processing, position/cash/trade reconciliation, and tax lot accounting, including tax lot relief methods and tax-loss harvesting mechanics
  • Understanding of the trade lifecycle and trading process end-to-end; a trading qualification (e.g. Series 7/63 or equivalent) is a plus
  • Comfortable with SQL and Python for data analysis, break investigation, and process automation; familiarity with database management a plus
  • Familiarity with IBOR or portfolio accounting platforms (e.g. SimCorp, Eagle, Aladdin, Charles River) is a plus
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team directly, including through a Lead, with a track record of coaching individuals to grow in their roles
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent Data Operations to senior internal and external audiences
  • Excellent judgment under pressure, with a track record of driving process improvement in a high-throughput, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey complex ideas clearly across cultural and functional boundaries
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and clients is mandatory
