We are looking to add a CNC Operator/Machinist to our team at Addictive Desert Designs. This person must pay close attention to detail, be organized, have a minimum of 2 years prior similar experience, demonstrate a high level of communication, and be able to follow operational procedures in a fast-paced team environment. Knowledge of CNC Machining is required.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Read work instructions and Blueprints
  • Operate CNC equipment as directed
  • Inspect materials in accordance with company quality standards
  • Must be able to use basic hand and various measuring and test equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Input data into MRP system.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.

Expected Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC operator
  • 2 years setup and operation of CNC equipment
  • HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe Experience (VF-5SS, ST-35Y, ST-10Y)
  • CAD/CAM Experience a plus
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Familiarity with measuring devices Dial Indicator, Calipers and Micrometers.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
  • Understanding of CNC machine function and G-Code language.
  • High School Degree Further qualifications will be a plus
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to interact with a diversity of people and diverse levels of personnel and work well in a team.

Preferred:

  • Set up HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe (VF-5SS, ST-35Y, ST-10Y) making required adjustments to tooling, collets, etc.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves various problems related to the set-up and operation of tooling, work holding etc. of a CNC machine tool.
  • Read and interpret drawings, programs, and other documentation to visualize machining required and sequence of operations.
  • Makes input to CNC consistent with set up procedure. Performs dry run to verify setup prior to production run. Recognizes and reports errors in programming and operations. Collaborates with Engineering Department in correcting errors.
  • Provides necessary counts, processes documentation correctly, and maintains daily production logs or production worksheets.

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
