Make an Impact/ The role:
As a Network Monitoring Engineer (Linux), you will be responsible for the monitoring of our infrastructure by making sure that it is fault-free and runs as smoothly as a Swiss clock. You will work together with the technical teams, in order to guarantee a high service level.
Empower Your Potential/ Responsibilities:

It is basically about managing the network equivalent of a nuclear reactor... and we are 100% against nuclear explosions here ;)

Serving as the Incident Commander, it's crucial to maintain control over the situation, steer the incident resolution process, and ensure effective communication among all involved parties.

Fault registration, notification and fault escalation as well as first basic check of triggers by sshing to the server, eventual restart as well as storage space grooming to increase overall reliability.

Network management of our highly available system through complex configurations of Zabbix

Design scripts for automation and operational tasks… or do you really want to do that stuff manually? Again?
Bring Your Knowledge/ Experience & Qualifications:
-
Previous experience (min. 2 years) with installing and administration of Linux systems like Redhat or CentOs

Familiarity with at least with one of these system monitoring tools like Nagios and Zabbix
-
Confident handling of team collaboration tools such as Git
-
Knowledge of at least one scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, Perl...)

Any level of experience with Gentoo Linux is a plus
-
Flexibility to work schedule-based Day and Night Shifts, also including weekends and public holidays.
