adMarketplace is seeking a People Operations Manager who is both a strategic leader and a hands-on operator, ready to drive and refine our People Operations function with a strong commitment to operational excellence. In this role, you will actively shape and scale key processes, ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and adaptable to our business growth. 

This position reports into our Director, People Operations and will work closely with the rest of the People team and regularly collaborate with other functions to ensure our employee, team, and business needs are not only met but exceeded.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee daily People Operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processes across the employee lifecycle by implementing best practices.
  • Optimize core processes like onboarding, compliance, policy management, and offboarding to ensure scalability and alignment with company culture.
  • Create and maintain clear process documentation to enable consistency and autonomy as the team scales.
  • Collaborate across departments to streamline People processes, maximize resources, and reinforce cultural alignment.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns, offering guidance on workplace issues.
  • Advise managers and executives on performance management, talent development, workforce planning, and organizational design.
  • Support payroll, benefits, employee records, onboarding, offboarding, and HR functions with accuracy and integrity.
  • Manage and mentor the People Operations Generalist while coaching and developing managers to enhance their leadership skills.
  • Evaluate and improve HR systems, including Rippling, Lattice, and other tools for recruiting, benefits, and rewards programs.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of People Operations or HR experience, preferably in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, fostering trust and collaboration at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Proven track record of aligning people strategies with organizational goals.


Compensation Range: $120,000-$130,000 base + Bonus + Equity. Level is determined based on experience and our interview process.

*This range represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of adMarketplace in the New York office. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience; training; associated responsibilities; and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
