Capture Manager

Westminster, Colorado

Capture Manager | Advanced Space | Full-time | On-site

We're going to the Moon. Win the missions that get us there.

About the Role

At Advanced Space, we're enabling humanity's return to the Moon and building the technologies that will take us to Mars and beyond.  At Advanced Space, Capture Managers serve as Opportunity Leads: they own qualified pursuits through our eight-step capture process and transition awarded work to the engineering team.  This is a mid-level business development and capture role based in Westminster, Colorado.

As the Capture Manager for assigned pursuits, you'll own opportunities from first identification through qualification, shaping, solution development, proposal submission, customer positioning, negotiation support, and handoff to engineering. You'll be the primary point of contact on many pursuits, supported by the lead of the Growth and Capture team, a senior capture lead who sets day-to-day direction, and Proposal Operations Lead for proposal excellence.

You'll partner closely with technical leaders, engineering, finance, government relations, and marketing. Our technical leaders bring customer access and solution leadership; you bring disciplined opportunity leadership, customer intelligence, and proposal execution.

We're looking for a self-starter with strong judgment and excellent writing skills who can juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the details. If you're passionate about space exploration and enjoy turning technical ideas into winning pursuits, this is the role for you.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available.

About Advanced Space

Advanced Space exists to enable the sustainable exploration, development, and settlement of space through innovative software, mission services, and technology solutions. As the owner and operator of NASA's CAPSTONE™ mission and the Prime Contractor for AFRL's Oracle mission, we're helping shape the future of cislunar exploration while supporting commercial, civil, and national security customers.

Our team combines deep technical expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset. We move quickly, collaborate across disciplines, and empower every team member to make meaningful contributions. We are customer obsessed and mission focused; when we see it, we solve it; we are one team, motivated by our vision; and we bring technical excellence and inexhaustible curiosity.

What You'll Actually Do

Lead and qualify opportunities.
Own assigned pursuits from intake to transition across all sources, including follow-on work with existing customers, net-new opportunities, inbound inquiries, and competitive solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, SBIR/STTRs, and task orders). Conduct structured qualification, build the win themes, create teaming arrangements, lead color-team reviews (Pink, Red, & Gold), support price-to-win strategies, make clear go/no-go recommendations, and keep CRM records and forecasts accurate. Work with engineers to turn complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive content.

Understand the customer and shape capture strategy.
Build and maintain stakeholder maps, assess relationship strength and access gaps, and coordinate with technical leaders to close them. Turn the voice of the customer into capture strategy, win themes, competitive differentiation, and engagement plans.

Coordinate solution development.
Work with engineering, R&D, finance, and leadership to develop solutions that are technically credible, executable, and aligned with what the customer actually needs, not just what the solicitation says. Support pricing, staffing, teaming, and business terms, and identify risks early.

Support negotiation and transition.
Support post-submission positioning and contract negotiations with leadership, finance, and legal. Lead the customer relationship. Deliver transition briefings to engineering for won work so teams start with full customer context.

Improve how we win.
Conduct win/loss analyses and capture lessons learned. Help improve our capture processes, CRM practices, pipeline metrics, and reusable proposal content.
