Human Resources Manager - Shared Services and HRIS

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HRSS/HRIS team to support key human resources processes, such as performance management, succession planning, leader development/training, investigations, employee development/training, compensation and benefits support, open enrollment, site startups, recruiting, onboarding/orientation and exiting procedures.
  • Lead HRIS and analytics groups to maintain and enhance our systems and reporting abilities.
  • Lead HR-related specific employee, organizational and vendor support and responses for ATS.  Manage front-line and ongoing responses to employee and leader questions in multiple areas.
  • Initiate and participate in cross-functional work teams to improve HR processes and programs, including enhancements to existing operational procedures and processes.
  • Provide direct support to and partnership with HR Business Partners, Compensation and Benefits, Recruiting, Employee Experience, Leadership Development, Communications, Safety, Payroll, and all areas of HR, as well as other internal stakeholders. 
  • Participate and lead ATS in human resources policies development, implementation, and compliance, including tracking of completion requirements. Advise employees and leaders on interpretation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for standard work/processing and maintaining employee records as needed, including compensation and benefit processes and employee records in HRIS.
  • Conduct audits of HRIS and other systems to ensure complete and accurate data.
  • Oversee information requests and standard work related to documentation as needed, such as human resources-related information needed for RFIs, RFPs, M&As, customer-specific requests (i.e. Social Responsibility/Diversity information requests, etc.) as needed.
  • Continuously maintain advanced knowledge of and capability to train others in foundational information for employees related to all human resources policies, procedures and HR systems.
  • Participate and support development of effective communication and training materials for human resources functions, including employee policy, compensation and benefits plan changes and overall employee onboarding tasks.
  • Act as a liaison to other human resources functions when necessary.
  • Lead and build the HR team capability.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:

Essential KSAs:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 6-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of proven supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in a Human Resources-related and/or customer/employee-service type role.
  • Advanced interpersonal, listening and communication skills, including training and facilitation skills, and a track record of effectively communicating with and influencing at all levels, including providing critical feedback and the ability to help managers and employees navigate through difficult situations.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, including leadership and capability to train others in time management and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional customer-service skills, including managing question/inquiry intake/response processes with sense of urgency and continuous improvement/root cause analysis to solve mindset.
  • Strong conflict resolution, influencing, relationship management and emotional intelligence skills.
  • Resilient and flexible, able to multitask and prioritize and have innate ability to understand and accept change and motivate others around change. 
  • Technically savvy and strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications, web-based applications, Power BI, Geac, concur, Workday and related company and Human Resources-related software as needed.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:                                                                                                 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk or hear.  The employee is also required to use a telephone with headset for verbal troubleshooting, frequent use of a standard keyboard and computer to document calls in a ticketing system, and occasional use of other office equipment.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 30 pounds.  The employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods and use close and color vision.  Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy business office.
