Marketing Communications Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and implements measurable external marketing communication initiatives by selecting and effectively using various elements of the communications mix such as: digital communications, brochures, advertising case studies, whitepapers, videos, eNewsletters, campaigns, and other online deliverables.
  • Leads and owns overall digital content from ideation and creation to tracking and reporting. Owns annual content calendar and content tracker for materials planned and created.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with marketing, product management, sales, and operations to drive improved content, collateral and product launches.
  • Creates and edits content drafts and/or writes content for various communications including, but not limited to, brochures, info sheets, infographics, PowerPoints, email, and website.
  • Supports website UX design and conversion optimization strategies and execution with internal and external resources.
  • Maintains brand guidelines and consistency across all communication materials.
  • Creates marketing communications content and activities for internal and external communications and adheres to existing processes and brand guidelines.
  • Actively evaluates and measures the effectiveness of communication programs employed, demonstrating value of communication investment (ROI) with a view to developing future improvement measures on similar or likeminded programs.
  • Manages overall quality of communications by reporting on KPIs through marketing dashboards and recommending opportunities for improved performance.
  • Owns internal library of communications and final files, regularly updating and ensuring materials are accurate both in online and print formats.
  • Owns email marketing while partnering with cross-functional teams, executing copywriting, reporting, validating leadership requests, competitor research/benchmarking, campaign management, list management, automation, etc.
  • Supports Photography and Video strategy and execution.  Own master docs/audits and research new technologies.
  • Research and stay current on digital marketing trends, best practices, and technologies.
  • Effectively learn the business and develops, communicates, and promotes ATS from a B2B marketing perspective in accordance with established brand guidelines.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:

Essential KSAs:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or related field preferred.
  • One to three years of proven marketing communications experience preferably in a B2B corporate organization and manufacturing. 
  • Strong knowledge of overall integrated marketing best practices and principles, preferably in B2B digital marketing.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in marketing automation, branding, SEO, SEM, copywriting, and proofreading.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize various projects/emails and re-prioritize daily as needed to meet all deadlines, excel at two-way communication/follow-up, and be accountable for meeting the role responsibilities with proven consistent quality work.
  • Growth-minded and results-driven with a focus on lead generation.
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 10%).

Desirable KSAs:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge in Google Analytics, WordPress, Salesforce (CRM), AI/ChatGPT, Highspot, and Graphic Design best practices
  • Detail-oriented, quick-learner, team player, creative, organized, tech-savvy, and self-motivated

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:                                                                                                 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, speak, and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods, reach with arms, and use close vision.  At times, the employee is required to use a telephone, a keyboard and computer, and other office equipment.  Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy business office.
