Group Product Manager, Sub Merchant Experience  

​​Adyen is looking for a Group Product Manager passionate about technology to define and drive the Global Sub Merchant experience for the entire Platform and Financial Services product suite. 
Your team's mission is to create experiences, services and tools that abstract away the underlying complexity of KYC / KYB (Know Your Customer / Business) and enable our Platform Customers to have low friction, high conversion, high quality onboarding for their SMB Customers to begin accepting payments and financial services.   
Our customers are the fastest growing, global platforms in the world, which are expanding their existing businesses by adding payments and financial services into their service offering. They need the ability to quickly ramp while ensuring the highest levels of Compliance and the lowest levels of Risk so it creates a frictionless experience for their customers.  
You will drive and oversee our Sub Merchant experience by managing multiple onboarding teams  across different geographies and products. You will be responsible for core API development as well as Hosted Product offerings while working with our engineering teams. You will manage multiple Product Managers at different skill levels and will own the success, accountability and responsibility of your teams. You will become the de facto expert voice-of-the-customer for the Sub Merchant and be accountable for advocating for their experience through the organization. You will ensure that your products are measured appropriately and reported against while evangelizing your mission across Adyen.  

What you will do:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap for the product suite driving the Sub Merchant Experience for Platforms and Financial Services product suite
  • Grow and mentor product teams who are accountable for delivering a best-in-class experience with Adyen's platform for Sub Merchants.
  • Serve as the point of contact across Adyen product teams and cross-functional stakeholders such as implementation, operations, and technical teams when it comes to the Sub Merchant experience while delegating as appropriate.
  • Working closely with your engineers, commercial teams, internal stakeholders, and partners to identify opportunities, develop effective solutions and deliver them across product lines and geographies. 
  • Work closely with our KYC Ops and Compliance team to understand their priorities and pain points and how you can build tooling to help them become more efficient. 
  • Serve as a thought leader and sounding board across Adyen for guiding and driving innovative solutions which enhance the sub merchant experience our customers have with our product offering 

Who you are:

  • 8+ years of experience in product at a high-growth B2B company, including at least 3 years leading and mentoring a global product team 
  • You have domain expertise when it comes to payments and the need for KYC / KYB in that landscape
  • You have directly managed multiple teams, and you also have experience in growing a product organization in a large, global, distributed company 
  • You have experience driving technical software products from kick-off to launch and a deep knowledge of the landscape of enterprise software. 
  • You have a strong technical background and enjoy going deep with Developers, Product Managers, Tech Commercial roles on performance and evaluation 
  • You enjoy delivering frictionless experiences that delight developers. A flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business trade-offs, generate out-of-the-box solutions, and manage ambiguity
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of developer problems
