Regulatory Counsel II - Licensing & Affairs - EMEA
Our dynamic EMEA Regulatory team is looking for a Regulatory Counsel who has experience interpreting payments and/or financial services regulation (PSD2, CRR, CBPR, IPR as well as accompanying implementations, guidance and RTS) within the EMEA region.
What you’ll do
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on a wide range of regulatory matters, including interpreting regulation to build robust and scalable risk-based processes in line with Adyen’s commercial and strategic objectives;
- Prepare regulatory engagements with prudential and conduct supervisors across the EMEA region by fostering strong, transparent and collaborative relationships and fulfilling key notification obligations;
- Drive the implementation of new regulatory challenges by analysing significant regulatory changes and driving their implementation to ensure they are addressed in a practical and scalable way.
Who you are
- You are a qualified lawyer one or multiple EMEA jurisdictions (at least one EU jurisdiction);
- You have 4+ years’ of relevant experience in a regulatory and/or legal function focused on payments and/or financial services regulation;
- You have competent knowledge of the European payments, and/or banking regulations (PSD2, IPR, CBPR2, CRR) outside the AML domain;
- You have experience approaching regulatory questions in a pragmatic manner, taking into account commercial needs and operational considerations;
- You are a driver, with a strong sense of initiative, independence and ability to take make decisions within your domain;
- You are a curious, eager to learn more about payments and financial services regulation and tackle complex legal questions;
- You have good communication and influencing skills, with a keen ability to tailor your message to the needs of your audience; and
- You are fluent in English and full proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
