IT Support Engineer

Adyen is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide comprehensive support to our teams and employees in resolving IT-related issues. In this role, you will go beyond first-line support, showcasing your proactive nature and eagerness to take on additional responsibilities. With a hands-on attitude and a genuine passion for assisting others, you will play a vital role in optimizing the productivity of our dynamic workforce.

What you’ll do:

  • Work together with a worldwide team to support all our employees with their IT related questions in an all Apple Mac environment
  • You will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting a wide range of IT challenges, starting from the initial setup of new users to providing assistance to colleagues with their IT inquiries. Additionally, you will play a key role in optimizing our processes and systems.
  • Collaborating closely with team members across the globe, you will provide comprehensive support for Apple device issues, user and systems access, networking, and various other IT-related tasks.
  • Your continuous focus will be on enhancing our global IT systems and functionalities, ensuring they remain up-to-date and aligned with evolving business needs.
  • You will proactively analyze repetitive tasks and issues, employing automation techniques to streamline manual processes and improve overall operational efficiency.

Who you are:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in IT support
  • You have experience managing a large fleet of MacOS corporate devices leveraged by enterprise systems like JAMF or similar
  • You have strong experience in helping people troubleshoot their IT related issues
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash and Python, with practical skills in automating repetitive tasks and streamlining the end-user experience
  • Can use a shell or terminal for administrative tasks, understands basic filesystem navigation, command flags, usage of included command line tools
  • You have been administering internal services such as Google Suite, Zoom, Okta and LDAP
  • You have experience with administrating onboarding sessions of new joiners and you have done IT user training in the past
  • You are a flexible team player who has the ability to work independently and able make informed decisions
  • You have experience with audio-visual (AV) equipment and troubleshooting in meeting rooms 
  • You have a good understanding of up to date IT security practices
  • You have experience with writing and maintaining technical documentation
  • You are able to travel to domestic and international destinations for company events and occasional coverage
  • You have advanced/fluent English
  • You are available to work in person, in Morumbi/SP

Nice to have if:

  • You have worked with config management systems such as Puppet, Ansible, or similar 
  • You have experience with centrally managed packages and you are able to deploy, update and maintain application on Apple end-user devices
  • You have an understanding of networking and firewalls
