Team Lead Warehousing & Logistics EMEA & APAC

Supply Chain at Adyen is growing rapidly, expanding our presence in the In Person Payments (IPP, payment terminals) and in Issuing (physical cards) fields. We are looking for a Team Lead for the Warehousing & Logistics teams in EMEA and APAC. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Supply Chain leadership team, responsible for implementing the global strategy in the respective regions and driving continuous improvement. The team lead ensures high-quality execution of inbound, warehousing and outbound processes. The team lead is responsible for leading the 8 team members based in Amsterdam, Singapore and Sydney. This team currently manages 5 third party warehouse locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in Supply Chain, with a focus on warehousing from a strategic perspective, preferably with experience in the hardware industry.

What you’ll do

  • Be part of the Leadership team of Supply Chain
  • Implement the global supply chain strategy and improve the overall supply chain performance in the region
  • Create and drive the strategy for warehousing and logistics for EMEA and APAC, in alignment with global strategy.
  • Ensure that the regional W&L team and third party logistics providers execute operations with high quality and high effectiveness
  • Improve scalability and efficiency for inbound, warehousing and outbound operations.
  • Manage and coach the team.
  • Drive or support software implementations and process improvements
  • Collaborate with different functions and regional stakeholders in order to ensure we are scalable across the globe.
  • Manage and coach the regional team, driving team engagement, performance and skills

Who you are

  • You are a self-starter that sees opportunities rather than challenges and loves to deliver proactively.
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain (warehousing focus), with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience.
  • You have a proven track record in effectively managing relationships and collaboration with 3PLs and hardware suppliers
  • You are a strong leader and are able to upskill the team through mentoring or coaching.
  • You combine strategic thinking with daily operational pragmatism
  • You are hands-on and willing to pick up any operational activities when needed
  • You are comfortable in ambiguous situations and are naturally inclined to interact  with various other stakeholders to decide on direction and priorities
  • You thrive in a constantly changing environment and are comfortable driving  significant improvements within this context
  • You prefer an environment of fast decision making and autonomy over an environment with excessive focus on perfection.
  • You have strong communication skills and the ability to interact with others clearly and emphatically.
  • You are willing to travel for work.
