Business Analyst, Merchant Finance and Treasury

Adyen is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Merchant Finance and Treasury team in Singapore. As Merchant Finance & Treasury we are the financial backbone of Adyen; optimizing and automating financial processes for scale, mitigating risks, and enabling growth through customer-centricity, operational excellence, innovation and integrity.

This is a varied, hands-on role in which you will execute, monitor, and reconcile high-volume daily payout processes to ensure timely and accurate disbursements to our Merchants. Your responsibilities will range from solving daily operational problems and optimizing our financial processes, to ensure we scale for the future. 

What you’ll do

  • Monitor our daily Payout and Reconciliation operations; manage exceptions, failures and rejects by collaborating with internal and external teams to resolve issues swiftly;
  • Monitor our daily Cash Management operations to ensure balances are available to cover the Payouts. 
  • Improve internal daily processes, with a focus on payment reconciliation to ensure timely money movements and to help scale our business;
  • Provide internal stakeholders with insights into our key financial and operational processes to influence key decision making and help Adyen scale further;
  • Use data analysis to solve business problems; draw conclusions and recommendations for optimization and automation; 
  • Partner with our technical and products teams to design, automate and improve our processes as well as having controls and monitoring in place; 
  • Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management and communication of progress to all parties. 

Who you are

  • 2-5 years work experience;
  • Experience with process improvement, optimization and/or automation;
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate detailed requirements into business solutions;
  • Exceptional attention to detail, a strong sense of ownership and quick to pick-up the phone to involve multiple teams;
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet strict daily deadlines.
  • Ability to interface and cooperate seamlessly with a global team;
  • Experience managing high-volume payments across AR/AP, acquiring, treasury, reconciliation or banking operations is a plus;
  • Knowledge of APAC payment and banking ecosystems, including regional rails and cross-border payout frameworks (e.g. SWIFT, Singapore FAST and PayNow or India PA-CB), is a plus;
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, as well as experience with data analysis and monitoring tools such as Looker and Grafana are a plus;
