Aerospike is seeking Senior and Principal level Product Managers across all areas and products.
With a focus on Developer and DevOps experiences, the Product Management team ensures our product development efforts are defined and prioritized according to the needs of customers. This includes standard PM responsibilities: continuous customer discovery, gap assessment, product vision definition and feature specification, backlog prioritization, and driving cross-functional alignment. Importantly, these processes are happening in the context of a complex, developer-centric, mission-critical software product.
The ideal candidate has a solid technical background, a mature and self-directed approach to product management, and experience working directly with demanding enterprise customers.
Reporting to the CPO, we’re looking for someone who believes ‘behind the scenes’ technology can be delivered in an elegant, lovable, and trustworthy package.
Responsibilities

Growth-centric investments: Propose market expansion opportunities originating from vision and supported by data. Participate in company-wide prioritization planning.
- Product definition process: Lead the end-to-end process of product definition – from opportunity identification, customer value articulation and market sizing through to requirements specification and experience design. Collaborate with Engineering to establish clarity of requirements and ensure what’s delivered meets expectations.
- Data collection and delivery: Partner with Product Operations to identify key metrics for product performance, collect relevant data, and use it to drive informed decisions.
- Stakeholder communication: Foster transparency and decision-making confidence by clearly and regularly communicating goals, progress, and outcomes to various internal stakeholders.
- Whatever it takes: You are the ultimate owner of your product’s success.
Requirements
- Experience contributing to the improvement and reliability of distributed systems in a mission-critical cloud environment.
- Experience leading complex product development initiatives involving multiple teams and locations, from inception through to ongoing growth.
- Experience collaborating with B2B go-to-market teams, including the education of Product Marketing and Sales Enablement, and the support of Sales teams during deal cycles.
- You may not have be a professional Software Engineer, but you’ve built software first-hand, and understand the concerns and values of a developer audience.
