We are seeking a Quality Engineer to drive automated testing for Aerospike products, with a particular focus on Graph databases. In this role, you will develop automated tests, enhance testing infrastructure, and ensure the high quality and reliability of our releases.
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and release cycle, ensuring that each new version of the database, clients, tools, and connectors meets performance and reliability standards. This role requires Python development for automation, Docker-based infrastructure written in Go, and exposure to Graph database technologies such as Gremlin and Spark.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and implement automated testing for Aerospike software.
- Deploy and execute client/server clusters of Aerospike applications using automated methods.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of testing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with software engineers to diagnose, analyze, and reproduce issues.
- Analyze complex infrastructure architecture, designing strategies to implement, deploy, and maintain these systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, working alongside software engineers to resolve them.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years experience.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Experience working in GNU/Linux environments.
- Strong understanding of software testing processes and methodologies.
- Knowledge of operating system concepts, database fundamentals, networking, and distributed systems.
- A problem-solving mindset with creativity and flexibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Programming experience in Go, Java, C, or C#.
- Experience with automation tools such as GitHub Actions, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with virtualization, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to SQL RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Spark and Kubernetes.
