Are you passionate about building reliable, high-impact cloud platforms? As a Quality Engineer on the Aerospike Cloud team, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and refining the Aerospike Cloud Platform — our cutting-edge, multi-cloud, multi-tenant Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) offering.
This isn't just a regular Quality role — your work will be foundational to how we deliver scalable, high-performance, and innovative data solutions to enterprises around the world. From day one, you’ll be hands-on with next-generation technologies, driving quality at every stage and helping us meet the demands of our rapidly growing global customer base.
Responsibilities
● Develop automated test scripts and test infrastructure for backend and frontend testing
● Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment
● Troubleshoot and debug test failures, and identify root causes of issues
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies, priorities, and objectives
● Advocate for quality practices and mitigate risk in a continuous delivery environment
Required skills and qualifications
● Minimum of 4 years of experience in software quality and testing
● Strong proficiency with programming and testing in Python
● Experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
● Understanding of cloud networking and tools such as S3, EC2, EKS, and VPC
● Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks like Pytest, Playwright, JUnit, Jest
● Knowledge of testing backend technologies such as REST APIs, OpenApi specs, postman, kubernetes
● Familiarity with testing frontend technologies involving HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
● Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions
● Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
● Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
● Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
● Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies
Preferred skills and qualifications
● Knowledge of multiple programming languages such as Go, Java, Javascript, C
● Familiarity with cloud based infrastructure as code tools such as terraform or ansible
● Experience with database testing
● Experience with code analysis tools and static code analysis techniques
● Familiarity with machine learning testing techniques and framework
