Senior Frontend Website Developer

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Frontend Website Developer to join our marketing team. You'll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our public-facing marketing websites, focusing on creating engaging, high-performance experiences that drive our business forward.

This role is perfect for a developer who is passionate about the intersection of design, user experience, and cutting-edge web technologies, specifically within the context of marketing for B2B SaaS/DBaas tech companies. You'll be instrumental in translating marketing strategies into compelling web realities.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of our marketing websites, ensuring they are performant, responsive, and visually appealing.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, design, and product teams to translate business requirements and design mockups into pixel-perfect, functional web pages.
  • Utilize your expertise with headless CMS, like Contentful, to build and manage dynamic content structures, empowering our marketing team to efficiently update and publish website content.
  • Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Astro and React, leveraging its capabilities for speed and developer experience.
  • Implement SEO best practices and ensure optimal website performance (Core Web Vitals).
  • Contribute to defining and maintaining our frontend architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Developer, with a significant focus on building marketing websites for tech SaaS or DBaas companies.
  • Proven expertise in developing performant and scalable websites using Astro or high competency with HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript. Please highlight relevant projects in your application.
  • Demonstrable experience utilizing Figma's Developer Mode for inspecting designs, extracting assets, and collaborating with design teams.
  • Extensive experience working with headless CMS platforms, specifically a headless CMS like Contentful. You should be comfortable with content modeling, API integration, and content delivery.
  • Strong proficiency in modern TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Deep understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git), collaborative development workflows, and familiarity with mono repos.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A portfolio showcasing your marketing website development work, particularly for SaaS companies, is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and data privacy (GDPR, CCPA) standards.
  • Strong understanding of media queries for diverse use cases beyond just screen size.

Bonus Points For:

  • Familiarity with serverless functions and edge computing.
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and design systems.
  • Experience with static site generators (beyond Astro).
  • Experience with Algolia 
  • Experience with Auth0 integration and SSO (Single Sign-On) for cloud-based platforms.
  • Proficiency in developing Next.js micro-sites for logged-in customer experiences.
  • Familiarity with client-side cookie and session handling, particularly for bypassing marketing forms (e.g., Marketo).
  • Understanding of Netlify's composable architecture, including the ability to implement Server-Side Rendering (SSR) for enhanced site functionality.
  • Ability to think outside the Bootstrap grid model when designing layouts.
